Junior Graphic Designer


 

Role
We are looking to recruit a Junior Graphic Designer to join a small but dynamic design team.

The role is full time working 37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday.

Ideally suited for a soon-to-be or recent graduate, the successful candidate will become part of a young design business with genuine opportunity to grow and develop their role and enhance their skillset.

The ideal candidate will be looking to hit the ground running and will gain experience working with a wide range of clients across multiple design disciplines (print, digital, product and web) throughout all stages of the design process.

For this role candidates must display a portfolio that showcases their capabilities in the Adobe CC suite (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop), along with good organisation and communication skillsDuties and responsibilities

  • To work as part of a small but dynamic design team, developing and learning required skillsets.
  • Produce attractive, high-quality and technically correct artwork across all media including design for print, product, digital and website design.
  • Develop and produce original artwork in line with the client’s brief, often taking ideas and artworking them through to reality.
  • Work with a wide range of clients from international brands with established guidelines, through to smaller clients that require additional guidance.
  • Support the team throughout the whole design process from creative concepts through to final delivery.
  • Communicate with the internal team and external bodies effectively and confidently.Skills and experience
  • Ideally you will hold a degree qualification in Graphic Design or a relevant subject.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in producing high quality artworks, with strong creative, typographic, layout and composition skills.
  • Work within the parameters of existing brand identities and guidelines.
  • Be a self-motivated, reliable and committed member of the team, with your own ideas and capable of working independently on briefs where required.
  • Good organisation and time management skills, working on multiple jobs at a time whilst ensuring work is completed on schedule.
  • Excellent knowledge and up to date experience using the Adobe CC Creative Suite – especially Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of preparing and supplying artwork to print/suppliers.
  • Mac literate.

Additional Skills:

  • Wordpess.
  • Website design and development.
  • Video and animation

Experience in professional environment is preferential but not essential.

Location
Located in Market Harborough, Leicester
The premises have off-road parking and great access to public transport links and highways.

This is a brand-new permanent role working Monday to Friday in a fun, collaborative and creative office. The successful candidate does not require their own hardware or software, this is a fully furnished role whereby all equipment and licenses will be provided.
