Vivu Journeys is one of the brands owned by TMG. We are a Destination Management Company (DMC) operating in the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia with bigger plans to expand globally.
Vivu Journeys works as a business to business (B2B) partner of tour operators and travel companies around the world, as their trusted partner in country to create, book and operate touring holidays on their behalf. We work with accommodation, experiences, food and beverage suppliers, transportation companies and tour guides to create tours and holidays within the countries we operate in.
POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the Reservations Executive role is to create and sell FIT tailor-made tours and holidays for our B2B customers. At the time of writing, this role will be 70% focused on servicing enquiries for travellers wishing to visit the UK & Ireland and 30% for Portugal.
Overall, the role is expected to increase sales within our FIT Tailormade business, achieving agreed targets and timeframes.
You will work with the reservation’s teams at our B2B Tour Operator customers, who in turn speak to their clients directly throughout the reservations and quoting process:

MAJOR TASKS
Sales
- Respond to new quote requests and enquiries in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner.
- Provide relevant and accurate proposals to our customers.
- Ensure accuracy of all quotes, providing suitable products based on customer needs.
- Build rapport with the sales teams of our customers, gain trust based on your knowledge and proficiency in providing quotes.
- Ensure accuracy of information on all bookings
Measures
- Total revenue booked.
- Conversion rate: enquiries vs bookings.
Customer Service
- Provide timely and accurate information and excellent support to external customers (agents, suppliers, and clients)
- Resolve customer service issues to customer’s satisfaction with appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Follow up after sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
Measures
- Net promoter score.
- Feedback from customers.
Marketing
- Some support may be required to assist our marketing team to translate documents between French and English and vice-versa.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years working in a similar role.
- Experience of selling the UK, Ireland, and Portugal.
- Experience working in a B2B sales environment.
Desirable:
- Have travelled in the UK, Ireland, and Portugal.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree
Skills
Essential:
- Fluent in national local language, English (business level).
- Excellent sales skills
- First class communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to build rapport quickly through professional interaction.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
- High standards of customer service.
- Ability to work as part of a multinational team.
- Able to problem solve and make decisions consulting.
- Able to prioritise tasks under time pressure
Knowledge
Essential:
- Knowledge of UK & Ireland, and Portugal, ideally gained from travelling in these countries.
